Eiffage Energía has received the award for the maintenance of Iberdrola’s Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Plant in Castellón. The contract is for one year and the object of this service is the maintenance of the electrical installations in the Plant, which is located in the town of Castellón de la Plana.
The 1655MW installation consists of two 2×1 configuration combined cycles and a hydrocarbon storage system, whose main features are:
- GROUP 3
Is a 2×1 configuration group, consisting of two gas turbines of 256 MW each, two heat recovery boilers and a steam turbine of 283 MW, as well as other auxiliary installations.
- GROUP 4
Is a 2×1 configuration group, consisting of two gas turbines of 274.8 MW each, two heat recovery boilers and a steam turbine of 310.4 MW, as well as other auxiliary installations.
- HYDROCARBON STORAGE SYSTEM
It consists of two fuel oil tanks of 61,000 m3 capacity and their auxiliary heating and pumping installations.
Eiffage Energía also has experience in this line of business in projects such as the Repsol industrial complex in Cartagena, in addition to the maintenance of this Plant. Among the contracted work is the implementation of all the detailed engineering and the performance of the work necessary to improve the existing electrical control system in this complex.
