Eiffage Energía has carried out the installation of the Low Bentham photovoltaic plant in North Yorkhire for OPDE UK Limited. The project, with an installed capacity of 5 MWp and an implementation period of two and a half months has included the work of:
- Civil Engineering
- Assembling of the structure and modules
- LV and MV electrical assembly
- Security System
- H & S Management
- Auxiliary means
Eiffage Energía’s activity in the UK began in January 2014 with the solar photovoltaic plant in Four Borrows and St. Columb. It carried out the project’s electrical installation and civil engineering. In addition, that same year, another project was started at the Bishops Sutton plant and, following this, the projects of the Fairwinds plant, the solar photovoltaic plant at Oaklands, and subsequently those of the Natewood, Brynteg, MounMill and Stokes March plants among others were successively undertaken. In this way, Eiffage Energía has become one of the key companies for sustainable energy in the United Kingdom.
Eiffage Energía’s trajectory in the sector of renewable energy can be computed as more than 2827.65 MW of wind power and 1,000 MW of photovoltaic power in total. It has been working with renewable energies since 1987, its first experience in this sector being its active participation in the first wind power project in Spain, the Ontalafia wind farm in Albacete, thus making it a benchmark EPC company. Almost thirty years later it has consolidated its international representation in projects located in countries such as Mexico, United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Chile, Morocco, Senegal, France, Brazil or Poland.
As an EPC company, expert in building solar photovoltaic plants and wind farms, Eiffage Energía has built more than 80 wind farms and 50 photovoltaic installations. It is also responsible for the installation of 2,200 wind turbines and the assembly of more than 3,500,000 photovoltaic panels.
