Five years of Eiffage Energía Chile

On 27 September, Eiffage Energía will be celebrating the creation of  Eiffage Energía Chile , one of the subsidiaries that the Eiffage Energía Group owns throughout the world. At the time, the company disembarked in Latin America with one of its most important projects – the San Andrés Photovoltaic Solar Plant (50 MW).

This experience in Chile allowed the Eiffage Energía Group to subsequently consolidate its position in other countries such as Peru, Mexico and Jamaica, where subsidiaries of the company currently operate .

The San Andrés plant was the first project entirely completed by Eiffage Energía Chile in Latin America. It was executed in a record time of only four and a half months, representing a rich learning experience for approaching projects with greater flexibility and applying the company’s flagship Know How in project management.

Chile stands out for the great richness of its cultural and geographical diversity. Eiffage Energía has earned a prestigious reputation in the country, contributing actively to its social, environmental and economic development. At Eiffage Energía Chile we understand that the only way to plan a new project is to address not only the cultural and social reality of Chile, but also its industrial and artisanal reality. To know a place is to understand the structure of the relationship between industry and construction, the regulatory framework, artisan traditions or trade relationships.

During these five years, Eiffage Energía Chile has worked in very different terrains and locations. In addition, working with local industry allows us to have a flexible relationship with customers based on trust and knowledge of the place and its context: geography, customs, topography, industry and approach to construction. This knowledge requires extensive travel and dialogue, but also maintaining our distant critical vision, with the aim of gathering knowledge, satisfying our customers and adding value to our shareholders.

The following quote from Gabriela Mistral, the first woman to win the Nobel Literature Prize in Chile and Latin America, has served as a foundation for Eiffage Energía Chile to position itself in the market as the leading firm and benchmark in Renewable Energy and Transmission projects in Chile:

“Where there is a tree to plant, you be the one. Where there is a mistake to undo, let it be you. Where there is an effort that everyone avoids, do it yourself. You be the one to remove the rock from the field.”

Finally, following the procedure described above, and thanks to the efforts of all the employees of Eiffage Energía Chile and its parent company, Eiffage Energía, the following projects have been achieved in Chile:

  • Civil works and Land Movement of San Andrés PV plant, 50 mw.
