Next Generation European Funds

One of the objectives of the Territorial Boards is to learn about and share business experiences on topics of general and/or territorial interest. Thus, this event also served to reflect on the Next Generation European Funds. In this context, the director of the Institute for Development of the Region of Murcia (Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia), Joaquín Gómez Gómez, gave a unique presentation on these European funds  in the Region of Murcia. For his part, José Manuel Martínez told attendees about Eiffage Energía’s expertise in this area.

Eiffage Energía’s proactive attitude

Eiffage Energía has been proactive in the context of the European Next Generation recovery funds through the MRRM and REACT-EU. It has done so by participating with different projects, within six of the ten lever policies defined by the PRTR (Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan). These projects, with public-private participation, range from energy rehabilitation, through industrialised systems with wood; electromedicine; sustainability in residential neighbourhoods; the promotion of smart cities and industrial areas; sustainable and environmental development; the implementation of sustainable mobility, thanks to solar energy, and the generation of green hydrogen.

Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation

They have been included both in the participation processes carried out by the regional administrations and in various sectorial PERTEs (Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation) at national level. These include Digithealth23 in the health sector; Newecocer, in the ceramics sector; and Ecohabital, in industrialised wood construction. In all of them, the sectorial approach is integrated with global solutions for energy efficiency; renewable energies; self-consumption; and energy storage, among others.
